The Project

Al Jimi Mall is Al Ain’s first shopping and entertainment destination offering families and shoppers a wide variety of their favorite brands in the heart of the Garden City. The mall is currently undergoing a massive expansion and renovation programme to add more stores, including Ikea store, and a 2-storey car parking structure serving to the 100+ outlets, bringing the total leasable area to 80,000 sqm.

Our Appointment

We were appointed to provide project management services, commercial management services, and design management services. An expansion to the north side of the Mall, the 2 storey car parking structure accommodates 400+ additional cars and consists of other retail units with sizes ranging from 1,500m to 6,500 sqm designed in a flexible way to accommodate different retailers area requirements, family dining, and coffee shops.

The Benefit

Having delivered multiple mixed occupancy retail developments across the experience of our teams, and deploying internal coordination across all design, commercial, contract Administration and project management discipline, we are able to streamline the front-end approvals and permitting process. As lead consultant, we ensured to keep every discipline on the same page regarding what’s needed to stay on track for smooth and successful delivery. We are able to carefully analyze all potential risks to the project, quantify them and develop a mitigation plan so that they fit well within the broader context of our clients’ strategic frameworks.
