The Project

This project, which will be located under the DMCC zone is a purpose built facility complete with male and female locker rooms with changing and shower facilities, sports fields, clubhouse, reception area, and waiting rooms. The sporting facility’s sports dome is 13,120 sqm with the clubhouse, which is 4,200 sqm in size. The facility is equipped with basketball, tennis, and squash courts, in addition to football pitches and other playing fields. There are also spaces for closed offices, open workspaces, control room and meeting facilities. The DMCC Duplays facilities is set to be one of the best locales for team sports and community sporting events in the region.

Our Appointment

Our role entails delivering a complete multipurpose sports facility in Dubai. Our task is to act as client representative for and on behalf of Duplays whilst carrying out multidisciplined services to bring this project to fruition. We are ensuring the development is in line with DMCC requirements whilst meeting Duplays operational requirements. Because we are working with Duplays on a number of these unique air dome and Club House projects, we managed the entire tender and appointment process for each consultant, the specialist contractor, the main contractor and sports flooring and equipment specialists.

The Benefit

Our local knowledge, expertise and experience brings significant benefit to Duplays to assist them in navigating the approvals process and other elements of this unique offering in the Emirate. With our in house design and cost management service, we are able to develop mitigation strategies and identify implications of the constraints. We managed the design development in line with local requirements and in line with established budget. Because we are overseeing the development of these facilities in multiple cities, we are able to benchmark best practice from other projects being facilitated. This purpose-built facility is one of the first-of-itskind in the region.
