The Project

Dwight’s legacy of innovation and personalized learning dates back to 1872. From inception, Dwight School has been committed to fostering the next generation of global leaders and ethical citizens who can thrive anywhere in the world. This project, although constructed under a separate contract, ran alongside Brighton College with the same contractor on each. We were called in by the developer post design to apply our expertise in school design and operational excellence. We conducted design reviews, value engineering studies and reduced the capex of the school to the client’s budget whilst delivering a far superior asset.

Our Appointment

We were appointed as commercial and cost consultant for the project and managed ‘net zero’ utility and LEED accreditation. We planned the cost of this project inclusive of estimating the costs of all the requirements, mitigating risk on the project to avoid budget overruns during the course of the project, controlling and allocating budget where required and managing the anticipated future expenses. In line with the client’s desire to achieve a LEED accreditation, we managed the output to ensure that the establishment was posed to be rated according to the required specifications.
