The Project

This 6,500 sqm hospitality project required a full fit out of this 216-key hotel. The hotel is fully equipped with a large dining area just off the main reception and gym facilities within the building. The rooms have a clean and efficient decorum with the hotel being developed for form and functionality to support business travelers, particularly those that will stay for a short to medium term while conducting work within the free zone area. The project was developed by Istithmar World to serve its community within JAFZA. The hotel also has a coffee lounge and a business center.

Our Appointment

Our appointment began after the main structure was already complete. We were appointed to project manage and coordinate the complete fit-out of the hotel including the hotel rooms and the common areas, leisure facilities and circulation areas throughout the hotel. We conducted a detailed review of the existing infrastructure and advised and supported the project delivery team on client requirements and regulatory compliance obligations. To manage this project through to successful commissioning and operational set-up, we liaised with multiple stakeholders as well as handling the client interfacing. Our role in this project was completed within the allotted timeframe and within the specified budget of the client; this project was delivered against a fast-track program owing to previous delays at the build stage.

The Benefit

Through our involvement, our team was able to bring senior level management and coordination despite earlier setbacks faced by the client appointed project team. We managed many stakeholders to bring forth the best and most efficient method to deliver the fit-out project management to the acclaim of the client and all involved. Due to our successful implementation and professionalism shown in this project, our relationship with Istithmar World and subsequently, DP World has strengthened over the past decade and has seen our team deliver on many projects from industrial to healthcare assignments within the free zone and other districts in the Emirate for this esteemed Dubai-headquartered global entity.
