Kids Academy Jumeriah High 4

The Project

The project entailed the phased refurbishment of Kids Academy’s first branch outside of the UAE capital. The nursery is located in Jumeirah Third in Dubai set in the residential area close to Safa Park. The nursery is a G+2 residential villa that required conversion into a childcare facility. The nursery needed to be capable of caring for and educating up to 120 children from newborn babies to five-year-old children. In line with government authority requirements for a nurse’s area, food preparation areas, separate changing facilities and indoor playroom, the premises was successfully modified to accommodate both regulatory and operational needs.

Our Appointment

Our team had previously delivered three Kids Academy branches in Abu Dhabi, and we were deployed to provide a turnkey project management service for this branch as well. We supported the project from the design development stage through to contractor procurement, construction management, and handover to operations. We provided a seamless interface for the building owner, Government Authority bodies, Kids Academy UK and UAE operations team, and the locally based Design and Construction teams. Due to our previous engagements with Kids Academy we were able to find opportunities to streamline the process and benefit the entire working team.

The Benefit

We provided Kids Academy UK and their UAE franchise partners a single point of contact during the design, construction and authority approvals phases allowing the nursery provider to focus on operational concerns. The experience we gained through the delivery of multiple education projects helped to mitigate project risks and ensure successful delivery in full compliance with governing authorities and the company brand standards. The project has presented many challenges from the outset due to the existing layouts of the spaces and the client fully appreciated our level of commitment and our proactive collaboration to bring this project through to fruition.
